Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI) Association has opened online registration for 10th International Conference, which will be held February 25-29, 2008, in St. Augustine, Trinidad. The deadline for abstracts is September 15, 2007.
Presentations will be organized in the following tracks, but authors are invited as well to submit presentations that fall outside of these topical tracks. The tracks identified by number are as follows:
1 - Experiences in developing local, regional, national, multi-national, and global SDI Initiatives, Projects and Programs
2 - Applications including Small Island Perspectives on Global Challenges: The Role of Spatial Data in Supporting Sustainable Development (see bulletted list above)
3 - Geographic Data Issues and Metadata Issues
4 - Clearinghouses, Registries, Portals, Archives and Search
5 - Web-based Services
6 - Standards
7 - Legal, Ethics, Policy, and Economic Issues
8 - Institutional, Administrative, and Management Issues
9 - Emerging Participatory, Inclusive and Collaborative Approaches in Developing Content and Infrastructure (e.g. PPGIS, Google Earth, UNSDI, GEOSS, data commons, open source)
10 - Capacity Building and Education
11 - Basic and Applied Research Methods and Research Results
12 - Other
High-quality submissions will be accepted either for oral presentation at the conference or as a poster.
Successful submitters will be notified by 15th October 2007.
Full papers and posters are due 15th December 2007.
