OPSI has published their 2008 Report on the Re-Use of Public Sector
Information, see
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/advice/psi-regulations/uk-report-reuse-psi-2008.pdf.

“The UK approach is that where there is access, there is also the
opportunity to re-use. This report documents the energy and innovation
that has seen many initiatives unlock information and demonstrates the
pivotal efforts in the UK in 2008 to maintain a thriving information
economy. Calls for the PSI regulations to be tightened reflect greater
awareness that re-use matters and has tremendous implications for us all.

The focus of this report is to prepare the UK to respond to, and build
upon, the recommendations that emerge from the Commission review of the
Directive this autumn. By covering all the linked developments and
innovations in the UK, this report is designed to contribute to those
discussions. Developments this year will shape the next. Online services
and discussion mean that solutions are immediate and responsive to
demand. On that basis OPSI will measure its success in the UK on a
journey to unlock the potential of PSI for us all. This is an exciting,
innovative agenda, not without its challenges as to how to move forward.
The potential is present and OPSI will continue to lead, driving forward
change and reporting on progress made in the coming year.”

Kind regards
