*European Union. The ip4inno project opens its Web site*

A new Web site on intellectual property (IP) that is the showcase of the
ip4inno project was recently launched. It is operated by the European
Patent Office in co-operation with 18 project partners, including the
University of Alicante.

The aim of this project is to facilitate a better understanding of
intellectual property issues and tools for SMEs to support the use of
intellectual property for innovation and competitiveness in Europe.

The Web site provides valuable information on themes such as patents and
other IP rights in the form of case studies, examples of best practices,
"how-to" guides, articles and interviews in several languages. More
content is continuously being added to the Web site.

In addition, a number of training events are scheduled across Europe in
2008 to promote intellectual property basics for SMEs and to train
intermediaries to act as future IP trainers.

The web site is at: http://www.ip4inno.eu/

Kind regards

Roger
