IPR and eGovernment interoperability in Europe – a review
Volume 3 of the European Review of Political Technologies (ERPT) is devoted to the much-debated topic of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and their role in the interoperability of eGovernment services in Europe. The European Review of Political Technologies (ERPT) – a pan-European periodical that addresses the converging areas: ePolitics, eDemocracy, eParticipation, eDiplomacy, eCitizenship, eGovernance and eGovernment – is produced by the Politech Institute, an international not-for-profit organisation based in Brussels.

Contributors to the publication generally support the notion of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) as a basis for the provision of quality pan-European eGovernment services (PEGS). They also highlight the need to reach a common and agreed approach to interoperability standards as a critical basis for greater interaction between administrations.
