Jo Walsh reminds us (Europeans) of the on-going study to find out how, 
where, how much and by whom Public Sector Information is being provided 
and used, specifically for geographic information, legal information and 
meteorological information. Follow the links in her e-mail to arrive at 
the ePSIplus project web site page where Chris Corbin (well known to 
many of us in the GI/SDI arena and now a member of the UK's government 
Advisory Panel on PSI) explains the purpose of the MICUS study (being 
conducted for the Commission) and offers links to the web pages from 
which paper versions of the questionnaires can be downloaded (although 
at the moment, these seem to be identical, both downloadable documents 
relating to PSIHs) which offers some confusion on the part of those 
being asked to complete the questionnaires).

Stepping through the on-line questionnaire, which is geared to re-users 
of GI, is informative from the point of view of the questions being 
asked and the level of detail requested, which may dissuade some 
potentially important survey participants from completing the questionnaire.

There is a review going on this year of the PSI Directive and its
impact specifically on re-use of geodata, meterological and legal data
in Europe. An early part of this is a survey of re-users of public 
geodata, which was originally sent to organisations named by NMAs.
