Hello,

I've been trying to find GIS data for the streets of Nairobi for some time now. Basically, UNHCR is attempting to map the actual streets where urban refugees in Nairobi are living. This is to better target programs to rehabilitate the areas where they live and work. Of course to map or analyze any of this, we need the base GIS dataset.

Just to be clear we are simply looking for a reasonably up-to-date street layer in either a shape file or MapInfo format. We have the capacity to do all the work in-house. We are not looking to hire a consulting company or anything like that. Just the data. If there is no freely available dataset I believe that we may be able to find some funds to purchase the data, although this is extremely limited I'm sure.

If you believe you may be able to help us, please let me know. We really appreciate your support.

Sincerely,

John Marinos
