Good day
If you have an interest in ICT for the Environment, whether you are a government stakeholder, a researcher, an educator or a business person, I'd like to draw your attention to the World IT Forum (WITFOR; www.witfor.org.bw) that will take place at the end of August this year.
As part of the WITFOR programme, the WITFOR Environment Commission will be holding three sessions on ICT for Environment, or Enviromatics. The first will present and discuss case studies, the second research needs and project proposals and the third is planned as a panel discussion on Environmental ICT Requirements from Policy Makers, Governments and Authorities in Developing Countries. The goal of this session will be to elicit specific needs for Enviromatics in developing countries. Its success will depend on the presence of government officials and experts who can express such needs.
If you are interested you are welcome to register directly on the website or get in touch with me regarding an invitation (if you are invited you will still have to cover your own costs).
In addition, if you would like your networks and publications to advertise WITFOR to a general audience, please contact Marianne Nganunu mnganunu at gov.bw for marketing details.
thanking you
Gavin Fleming
