PhD Research Studentship (Alistair Berkley Memorial Fellowship), London, U.K. 

The Law School of the University of Westminster, currently has over twenty students studying for research degrees, located in premises adjacent to the Law School. The successful candidate will be required to undertake teaching or research assistant duties not exceeding 6 hours per week. The Ph.D may be in any area of Human Rights Law/Criminology, but special consideration may be given to those interested in pursuing research on land rights in Africa. Applicants will need to hold an Upper Second Class Honours first degree in Law or a related subject and preferably a Masters Degree. Fixed term (renewable for 3 years subject to satisfactory progress), £12,000 pa in yr. 1 (tax free stipend – plus higher degree fee waiver). Closing date: 28th October 2005. Interviews are likely to be held in
