Re: IST AFRICA Conference Announcement
Apologize for Cross Posting
Dear all:
We wish to inform you that we plan to organise a conference session and
workshop at the IST-AFRICA conference regarding the topic "ICT for
Environmental Risk and Disaster Management", potentially with a specific
workshop about the question:
How can ICT improve the management of Environment and Security in
Africa ?
IST-AFICA is co-sponsored by the EU (see general announcement below). We
will welcome submissions from activities world-wide, and submissions need
not only focus on the question above.
The conference stream is chaired by myself (Ralf Denzer, Germany) and is
co-chaired by Gavin Fleming (South Africa), Gerald Schimak (Austria) and
Bernard Stevenot (Belgium).
If this event is of interest to you, then please send an email to
ralf.denzer at enviromatics.org, with a one page abstract, as soon as possible,
but no later than December 22.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Ralf Denzer
