  Even though over 200 people have subscribed to this list... and there are several thousand readers of SDI-Africa... surprisingly few people actually 'open their mouths' (send messages)...  so, whether you were commenting on the job information in particular or all information in general, I just pleased to be hearing from anyone at all!   
   
  If people are still reading this trail of correspondence.... (I daresay the longest this list has had).... I'm certainly keen for them to follow up on your suggestion.... to introduce themselves, explain their current SDI related activities.... and possibly remark on what most concerns that at the moment.
   
  Me? I'm concerned with the financial aspects of SDI development. I'm doing a PhD.... focusing on joint public budgeting of geospatial services  (geospatial investment management / cross-agency coordination).... and aid harmonization of geospatial activities.

The SDI initiative should be,and is, of course much more than that.I see its
potential as a 'SDI information warehouse' not being fully exploited though. It
might be advisable to create some concrete exchanges of views on specific items,
or encourage list members to inform about their SDI related activities.

This is just a thought on an early sunday morning
