Standardised Logistics Needs Assessment Template Research
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), through their
Humanitarian and Emergency Logistics Professionals (HELP) forum, have
identified creating a unified Logistics Needs Assessment Template as a top
priority due to the wide range of Logistics Assessments currently in use and
the duplication of effort that has been reported in the field. This project
is working in collaboration with the UNJLC's Spatial Data Infrastructure
programme.
To create a unified Logistics Needs Assessment Template, they would like
practitioners to review current examples of needs assessment templates, with
the aim of combining the positive aspects into a standardised template. The
practitioner review has three distinct parts to take into account peoples
various work loads and to ensure that the review process collects the
opinions of as wide a range of practitioners as possible.
The practitioner review process is conducted via online questionnaires, but
no personal information is collected and there is no registration required.
To participate in this review process, please go to
www.humanitarianlogisticsneedsassessment.com
Please note that the deadline for participating in the review process is
31 August 2007.
The intention is to collect as many opinions as possible regarding current
templates and also regarding what a standardised template should contain.
