Note: The map portrays villages that the US Government has confirmed as destroyed or damaged between February 2003 and October 30, 2007. The data represented on this map do not provide information on when attacks occurred within the span on the conflict, nor do they display all destroyed and damaged villages in Darfur. The large number of damaged and destroyed villages identified and added to the database since the previous HIU map was produced in March 2007 does NOT correspond to a proportionally large increase in destruction during the March to November 2007 period. There is currently insufficient data to determine when damage or destruction occurred.
