Research Africa is offering an IDRC-funded nine-month journalism internship for an African national. The opportunity is open to mid-career (3+ years of experience) journalists with an interest in the politics behind the science headlines. The intern will mainly be based in Cape Town, South Africa. However parts of the internship will take place in London, UK, as well as in another key location on the African continent. Flawless English is essential, additional languages desirable. It is expected that the candidate will take a 9-month sabbatical from his or her job for the internship.
