Subject: [ppgis] Consultancy assignment: Land/land use and water management expert /GIS expert

Wageningen International is short listed for a restricted tender for the ‘Design, Development and Set up of a webbased Land and Water Management Information System and Portal’.

Within this tender we are currently looking for:

A Land/land use and water management expert /GIS expert

-    Should have a minimum of a Masters Degree in agriculture, natural resources management or equivalent from a recognised learning institution and 
-    At least ten years general professional experience out of which five years are in semi arid ecosystems. 
-    Preferably this expert should also have experience in setting up MIS and facilitating multistakeholder participation.
-    Some working experience in the SADC region and a good understanding of the SADC land and water systems, and available land use management and water harvesting technologies will constitute an added advantage.

Availability January – June 2008
