Regional Project Manager, Nile Basin Initiative, Khartoum, Sudan

The Regional Project Manager (RPM) will provide the overall leadership for and management of this project of the Shared Vision Program (SVP), within the overall framework of the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI). The RPM will have overall responsibility for ensuring the successful attainment of the project objectives; the coordination and integration of the project within the SVP; and for the effective financial management and administration of the Project Management Unit (PMU) based in Khartoum, Sudan.
The RPM will preferably originate from the Nile Basin Countries and have the following qualifications:
- At least 15 years of working experience in environmental management or related fields with recognized technical expertise.
- A Masters level degree, or PhD, in natural resource management, geography, water resources or related field.
- Extensive experience in the management of complex projects at national or regional levels.
