Statistics Expert (Census), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
This position is located in the African Center for Statistics in the Economic Commission for Africa. The Statistics Expert will provide technical support to countries for the 2010 round of population and housing censuses (RPHC), to adapt to internationally methodology in the African context, including conducting short-term advisory missions on the cost-efficiency of censuses operation through planning and conducting of census partly through the use of ICT, GIS, satellite mapping, questionnaire scanning, and adequate combination of administrative register, large-scale national sample survey, with enumeration.
