The Sudan Institutional Capacity Programme: Food Security Information for Action (SIFSIA) is one of the many programmes designed by GOSS with financial and technical support of EC and FAO respectively to capacitate the Commission in the generation, collection and analysis of food security and livelihoods information needed for planning, executions and evaluation of food security related policies and programmes in Southern Sudan. The objective of SIFSIA is therefore to enhance physical, institutional and human capacity of GOSS for food security information collection, analysis for policy and programme decision. SIFSIA is supporting the establishment of the Food Security Technical Secretariat (FSTS) within SSCCSE which will provide the required information for policy planning and decision making. The SSCCSE is currently looking for qualified Sudanese professional to serve as a GIS and Remote Sensing Officer in the Food Security Technical Secretariat.
