GITA is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for its
prestigious Awards Program. Members of the worldwide geospatial community are
invited to submit applications for four award categories:

Excellence Award: Recognizes user organizations for their outstanding
application of geospatial technologies. A panel of industry experts will
assist in the selection process for these awards.
Innovator Award: Recognizes the unique and significant contributions of user
organizations that have pushed the envelope of geospatial technology through
innovative development of a technology, service, or application.
GITA Distinguished Service Award: Given to an individual for his or her
extraordinary personal contribution to the mission and success of the
association.
Geospatial Industry Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizes an individual's
outstanding contribution and longstanding commitment to the geospatial
industry.
The submission process is easy. Simply visit the awards page of GITA's Web
site to read the award descriptions, then fill out the appropriate online
submission form.

All members of the global geospatial community are welcome to submit award
applications.

The deadline for nomination submissions is November 18, 2005. For more
information on the awards or the nomination process, contact GITA Membership
