  2006 Asia Pro Eco - Phase II Programme - Promoting sustainable solutions for the environment between Europe and Asia 
  Asia Pro Eco II will fund EU-Asia partnership projects specifically in the field of the Urban-Environment. The objective of the Asia Pro Eco II is to draw the EU and Asia closer together through institutional and operational partnerships and networks to tackle major issues on the protection and remediation of the urban environment. The programme aims to promote the sharing of innovative technologies, best practises, policies, measures, and capacity-building which can improve the quality of life and environmental conditions of urban populations in Asia. With an EC contribution of ? 8 million, the main objective of Asia Pro Eco - Phase II is to adopt policies, technologies and best practices that promote cleaner, more resource efficient, sustainable solutions to urban environmental problems in Asia.
