Researchers (Environment & Development / Aquaculture & Fisheries), Regional Offices / Penang, Malaysia
The initial screening of applicants will close on August 24th, but the positions will remain open until filled.
The WorldFish Center, www.worldfishcenter.org, is looking for 5-6 researchers. Finding the right people is more important to them than the precise discipline of work. A candidates might be an Environmental Economist, a Human Geographer, a Political Ecologist or Economist, a Social or Economic Anthropologist. A canddiate might be an expert in Development Studies, Rural Sociology or Environmental Management. The detail doesn’t matter, only one's enthusiasm, ability and character. Most importantly, candidates do not need specialist knowledge of fisheries or aquaculture for most positions.
Selected researchers may be stationed at any of the WorldFish Center's regional offices or at our HQ in Penang, Malaysia, but will have opportunity to travel widely. Applications should be made by e-mail to worldfish-hr at cgiar.org.
