[SDI-AsiaPacific] Master thesis opportunity at SOPAC/SPC/USP: shallow water bathymetry in the Pacific

SOPAC/SPC/USP has reopened the call for candidates 
for a Master thesis opportunity on shallow water bathymetry 
in the Pacific

The job is to adjust existing methods of shallow water
bathymetry from satellite images to a simple tool,
which can be utilised in Pacific Island Countries,
where data, software and hardware as well as
assistance will be provided by SOPAC, SPC and USP. It
is possible to create a master thesis out of this work
(precondition postgraduate diploma) and the SOPAC-EU
Project pays the scholarship. However, the work has to
start “now”. If there is immediate interest from
sufficient people we will consider not to drop the
scholarship.
