Provincial Land Association Managers, Cambodia
Deadline: 28 September 2007.
The East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI), a not-for-profit organization, has been short-listed for a EuropeAid project to support safer access to arable lands by safeguarding land tenure through awareness on land laws and support to provision of land-titles to poor farming households in Cambodia. For this project, EWMI seeks 3 Provincial Land Association Managers. Responsibilities include:
- Organizational development on provincial level
- Day-to-day management of Land Association
- Support and follow up applications for land titling
- Provision of administrative, legal and financial advice
- Implementation of trainings
- Fund raising
- Overall coordination and reporting
The successful candidate will have:
- Preferably 5 years experience in management of development projects
- At least 3 years experience in leading similar projects (related to land registration, capacity building and public awareness in rural areas) in South East Asia
- Proven capacity to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in fund raising
- Training skills
- GIS knowledge and asset
- Experience in the Cambodian Land Registration System and Cambodian land issues
- BSc in a field related to management, administration, finance, organizational development or equivalent
- English language proficiency (reading and writing)
- Khmer language knowledge
- Good analytical, reporting and management skills
