Call for proposals of urban best practices for World Exposition Shanghai 2010 
The World Exposition Shanghai China 2010 (the EXPO, http://en.expo2010china.com/) will be held in Shanghai from May 1st to October 31st, 2010, with the theme of “Better City, Better Life”. The Committee of the EXPO has decided to set up an Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA). Cities from from all over the world are invited to submit their proposals for the UBPA. Four exhibition fields have been designed as follows: Livable Cities, Sustainable Urbanization, Protection and Utilization of Historical Heritages and Technological Innovation in Built Environment. Proposed cases should be worthy of international recognition, innovative, and with great replication value. The selection committee will give balance to different regions, races, cultures, developed and developing countries. Around 30 cases will be chosen. Deadline has been extended to January 31, 2008.
