Nominations sought for the Trieste Science Prize  
TWAS - the academy of sciences for the developing world - is seeking nominations for the 2008 Trieste Science Prize scheme, aimed at honouring scientists living and working in the developing countries. Each year, Trieste Science Prize is given in two different fields. For 2008 the fields are: 
     - Earth, Space, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences; and 
     - Engineering Sciences. 
Each prize will carry a monetary award of US$ 50,000 and a trophy. Deadline for  nominations: 31 January 2008. Further details on eligibility criteria, the nomination form and submission procedure are available online.
