Fellowship Programme in Sea Level Science and Applications 2008 for the Indian 
Ocean Tsunami Warning System
The objective of this fellowship programme is to encourage further use of the sea
level observing network for research and applications within the framework of a
regional multi-purpose observing system. In the longer term, the strengthening of
links between the sea level observing institutions (i.e. hydrographic, port
agencies) and the scientific institutions (universities, oceanographic, fisheries and
environment), as well as regional and international cooperation between
participating institutions are expected outcomes.
The fellowship programme is open to scientists, engineers and experienced tidal
officers/technicians involved in sea level monitoring and/or associated research.
Deadline for applications: 1 June 2008
