IraqInfo makes data on Iraq widely available
The first release of DevInfo adaptation for Iraq (IRAQInfo) is available for online consultation at www.devinfo.info/iraqinfo. The database is managed by COSIT, the Central Organization for Statistics and Information Technology of Iraq. It contains statistical information for a range of sectors including development assistance, food security, women and many others.
A second database, UNIraqInfo, has been developed by the Inter-Agency Information and Analysis Unit, a group comprising UN agencies and NGOs. It was created in parallel and to complement the government database (IraqInfo) with additional indicators, including indicators on humanitarian issues, and information from NGOs as well as government ministries. The information contained in the UNIraqInfo database is expected to be the basis for regular reporting by the UN Country Team and lead to more coordinated analysis and reporting. The database will be updated on a monthly basis.
