INSPIRE - SDIC AMFM_ITALIA
Workshop on "Metadata for geographic information: standards, italian 
projects and technical solutions"
Bologna Italy, October 20th 2005

The AMFM_ITALIA Spatial Data Interest Community (SDIC) originates from AMFM 
GIS Italia and will give
specific efforts in developing models of collaboration and GI projects 
coordinated with different
levels of the Italian Public Administration.

As a first activity the AMFM_ITALIA SDIC is organizing the first workshop 
on metadata to be held in
Bologna on October the 20th 2005. The workshop will bring together Italian 
stakeholders in the field
of metadata for GI in order to discuss practices and methodologies and to 
have a snapshot of the
State of the Art in terms of standards/profile adopted and technical 
implementation.

The results of the workshop will be made available to the INSPIRE DT on 
Metadata through the SDIC
AMFM_ITALIA.

AMFM GIS Italia is a not for profit association established in 1990 with 
the mission to foster the
development in Italy of GI and GI related technologies and applications.

AMFM GIS Italia is the Italian chapter and founder memember of EUROGI.
