Deadline: 31 December 2007.
The selected candidate will work on a GMES Risk EOS project (http://www.risk-eos.com) funded by the European Space Agency and will serve as the team expert on GIS and remote sensing applications. The main objective of the project consists in assessing flood risk using satellite imagery and computation results of flood inundation models. The essential functions of the new position include the acquisition and processing of remote sensing data, application of flood inundation models, conversion of model results into a GIS environment, risk analysis through the overlay of several information layers in GIS and the reporting of study results.
