European GIS in Education Seminar - EUGISES 2008
This will be the tenth anniversary of the biannual European GIS in Education Seminar - EUGISES. After very successful meetings in the Netherlands (1998), Hungary (2000), Spain (2002), Austria (2004) and Poland (2006), it will come to the campus of the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, the United Kingdom in 2008. The basic purpose of the seminar remains unchanged, an occasion for all of those interested in the teaching and learning of GIS in Europe (and beyond) to meet to share ideas, best practice, innovation, the odd confession and possibly a drink or two. The social aspect will be important as this will be a meeting of old and new friends with a shared interest and passion.
Delegates will be able to submit full technical papers and posters and more importantly will have the chance to participate in the discussion of this presented work. The papers will be presented in a single stream through the seminar to ensure that all delegates can attend any session.
EUGISES 2008 will run from Sept 11 (Thursday) – Sept 14 (Sunday) 2008. It will be held on the beautiful campus of the Royal Agricultural College, set in the Cotswold Hills in South West England. All seminar events, meals and accommodation will be provided on the campus, except for the “cultural event” on Saturday, where you will have a chance to experience something special to this part of England.
