The ReliefWeb Associate Cartographer will be responsible for the following duties: 
- In response to the onset of natural disasters and complex humanitarian emergencies, create situation maps and other graphical products that provide a rapid visual summary of the crisis and that complement related information on the ReliefWeb site; such products can also be developed on request from other OCHA Geneva offices, if they are aligned with ReliefWeb’s priorities;
- Locate, process, and publish maps to the ReliefWeb site on a daily basis that provide relevant, reliable, and timely information on humanitarian emergencies in developing countries for ReliefWeb’s user community and which complements other content appearing on the site;
- Support existing ReliefWeb Map Centre projects, products and services and participate in the design, development, and execution of new ones;
- Acquire, process, and maintain geographic and related data necessary for ReliefWeb Map Centre operations and participate in technical information cooperation and sharing initiatives that support humanitarian assistance, including close interaction with the OCHA/FIS team in Geneva;
- Maintain and support ReliefWeb Map Centre and related databases and promote related data standards.
- Liaise with counterparts in the humanitarian GIS community in order to improve overall the ReliefWeb Map Centre products;
