Assistant Professor - Multi-scale data integration, Enschede, The Netherlands
The Department of Geo-Information Processing (GIP) of International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) invites qualified persons to apply for this position. GIP addresses technological and methodological aspects of geo-information processing and infrastructure in order to solve complex spatial problems. The department develops concepts and technology for the new geo-information society. GIP focuses on SDI, geovisualisation and multi-scale data integration. 
Candidates should hold a PhD in geoinformatics, computer science, geography or geodesy; have demonstrable knowledge and skills in at least one of the areas of GIS technology, modelling and applying topographical (or other framework) data, spatial data integration, geo-computation, generalisation or multi-representations; have expertise in dealing with spatial data at different scales and preferably also in working with students; and have demonstrable potential in the areas of research publication and grant acquisition.
