EU-LAT Workshop on e-Environment - Call for Papers

The EU_LAT workshop on e-Environment will be held
in San Jose, Costa Rica on 30/11/2004 -
3/12/2004. The aim of this 4 day EU-LAT workshop
on e-Environment is to bring together research
groups, members of parliaments (MP),
environmental organizations, companies and SMEs
from Europe and Latin America to exchange
experiences and encourage collaboration on
proposals to Framework Programme 6 (FP6). The
workshop is funded by the EU-LAT project
(http://www.eu-lat.org). Contributions reflecting
finished work, preliminary studies with promising
innovative ideas and experience reports,
especially from governmental bodies and
companies, are welcome. The workshop is primarily
a forum for groups to present their work and
themselves and to find other groups interested in
similar or complementary areas of research.
Featured topics of the workshop include:
· Risk assessment and evaluation
· Natural and Technological disasters
· Environmental Modeling and Forecasting
· Decision support systems
· Environmental information systems
· Environmental monitoring systems
· Environmental management systems
· Environmental education systems
Deadline for submissions of full papers is on
September 24, 2004. A number of grants is
available to support travel and subsistence of
European researchers whose papers will be
accepted to the workshop. Check the EU-LAT
