  Programme Assistant, European Commission - Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) Managua, Nicaragua 
The Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Support Office (RSO) of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) is looking for a Programme Assisant for its Disaster Preparedness Programme (DIPECHO).
  Candidates must hold a relevant university degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geology or Territorial Planning; demonstrate relevant field working experience, primarily in disaster preparedness, prevention and mitigation; and have excellent command of English and Spanish (oral and written). Knowledge of GIS will be considered as a plus. Deadline: 9 December 2005.
