  Soil Maps of Latin America and the Caribbean Islands online 
  The European Digital Archive of the Soil Maps (Eu-DASM) is an initiative of JRC-IES and the ISRIC World Data Centre for Soils in Wageningen, The Netherlands, providing free online access to the soil maps of the world. This activity particularly supports developing countries where much soil information is threatened to be lost through deterioration of printed-only copies. After having already published a compilation of the soil maps of Africa and Asia, JRC-IES and ISRIC now launched a CD-ROM and free web site with maps of Latin America and the Caribbean Islands pertaining to soil and related studies accounting to about 1060 maps now being accessible online through the Eu-DASM system.
