AGI is seeking an energetic, innovative and results-orientated individual capable of leading the AGI to deliver benefits to individual members and key stakeholders.  You will be a strategic thinking individual, with a high level of commitment to providing excellent services with a proven ability to operate at senior level.  There will also be challenging management elements to the role, including delivery of high-quality services, team leadership, business development, budgeting, and quality management. In other words, you'll have a very influential role to play in the success of the AGI.   

You will be required to: Promote the AGI, its mission and objectives to a wide ranging audience, including government through the Geographic Information Panel (GI Panel) 
Ensure membership of the AGI grows through active delivery of key targets and support for the AGI team in delivering membership benefits 
Represent and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders 
Monitor changes in the external environment, assess the impact and advise the AGI on appropriate policy responses 
Communicate at the appropriate level on national geographic information issues 
Ensure that appropriate resources and plans are in place to achieve the AGI's strategic objectives.   

If you have: 
Successful senior management experience in the voluntary or public sector 
Substantial experience of staff management in a diverse organisation 
Experience of policy development, analysis and project management 
Experience of financial planning and budgetary control 
High level communication skills  
Persuasive and responsive skills, able to direct, delegate and motivate staff 
Good organisational ability;  able to multitask effectively under pressure
