The role of regional Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in integrated data analysis and management of watersheds and coastal areas was the focus of discussions at a workshop, 5-6 July 2007, held in Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica.  The workshop was organized by the GEF-funded Integrating Watershed and Coastal Areas Management in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (IWCAM, http://www.iwcam.org/) project.

The workshop sought regional consensus in developing a Road Map and effectively mainstreaming the use of GIS in the region.
