Chemonics, http://www.chemonics.com, seeks short- and long-term technical experts for anticipated DOD- and USAID-funded projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Responsibilities include: disaster preparedness and mitigation training, training needs assessment, risk and safety disaster assessment, logistics and relief supplies coordination, institutional strengthening. 

Qualifications: 
Academic degree in a relevant field or comparable international experience 
Minimum five years of demonstrated experience in relevant technical area 
Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with donors and multiple local counterparts 
International experience with SOUTHCOM's Humanitarian Assistance Program, the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance, or similar programs preferred 
Demonstrated experience in organizational capacity-building, training, or information dissemination 
Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required 
French and Portuguese desirable 
Work experience in Latin America and the Caribbean preferred
