[Sdi-latinamericacaribbean] GEOSS in the Americas Symposium, 17-19 September 2007

The GEO Secretariat has announced the upcoming GEOSS in the 
Americas Symposium which will take place in Magaratiba, Brazil 
on 17-19 September 2007. 
The purpose of the symposium is to increase understanding of 
GEOSS in the region, raise awareness about existing GEOSS in 
the Americas activities, strengthen partnerships, and advance a 
dialogue about opportunities, capabilities, and requirements.   
Detailed information about the program, which will emphasize 
dialogue among experts from the region around specific aspects 
of GEOSS implementation, will be provided in the coming weeks.
