The University of the West Indies Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC) is offering an online course on Local e-Governance in the Caribbean for a third time. The course will be offered for eleven weeks: from 19 September to 2 December 2007.
The Certificate in e-Governance course is aimed at interested and appropriate people in governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations in the Caribbean. It is designed to improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of such people in the use of ICT in governance and government.
It is anticipated that there will be competition for places, so it is advisable to apply early, well before the applications closure date of 29 July 2007.
A limited number of UWIDEC scholarships (US$100 towards the registration fee) will be awarded on a competitive basis.
