CATIE, the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center, is a regional scientific center for agriculture and natural resource management dedicated to sustainable rural development and the reduction of poverty in tropical America. Its mission is to contribute to rural poverty reduction by promoting competitive and sustainable agriculture and natural resource management through higher education, research and technical cooperation.
Requirements: 
Doctoral degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, related Social Sciences or a related field. 
Ample experience in research and higher education institutions. 
Experience in institutional management and fundraising in the agricultural and/or renewable natural resource sector, at national and international levels. 
Renowned international prestige. 
Citizen of a member country within the Inter-American system. 
Fluent in at least Spanish and English. 
Willingness to reside with his/her family at CATIE headquarters. 
Preferably a citizen of one of CATIE’s member countries.
