The excelGOV awards aim at recognizing those Latin American and Caribbean governments that have made remarkable contributions to the promotion of public sector transparency and citizen participation using the information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Premios de Gobierno Electrónico excelGOB 
El objetivo de los premios excelGOB es reconocer a aquellos gobiernos de América Latina y el Caribe que han realizado contribuciones destacables a la promoción de la transparencia en el sector público y al fomento de la participación ciudadana aprovechando las oportunidades que ofrecen las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC). 
Fecha límite: 8 de abril de 2007.
