FEWS-NET Deputy representative, Haiti
Chemonics seeks a deputy representative for the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) regional office in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The goal of FEWS NET is to strengthen the ability of countries and regional organizations to manage food insecurity by providing early warning and vulnerability information. Responsibilities include: assisting with strategic planning and execution of technical activities (early warning, vulnerability assessments, monitoring tools and methods, capacity development, and strengthening networks); assisting with data collection and archiving; liaising with partners in Haiti; representing FEWS NET at technical meetings; and helping the project fulfill reporting requirements.
Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline that is directly relevant to food security analysis (e.g., economics or agricultural economics, agronomy, and agricultural climatology) 
Relevant country experience in early warning/food security information systems, food security analysis, or related fields 
Excellent GIS applications and mapping skills 
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
Fluency in French required
