Consultant required to undertake a research study on the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for early warning in CDERA participating states – Deadline for Expressions of Interest: January 4, 2008
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency(CDERA) and the International Development Research Center (IDRC) have agreed to collaborate on an 18 month Research Project designed to conduct a set of research studies on the subject of the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICTs) in Disaster Management in the Caribbean region and invites suitably eligible consultants to indicate their interest in undertaking a Research Study on the Application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Early Warning in CDERA Participating States.
Expressions of interest to be submitted by January 4, 2008
Full proposals must be submitted by January 18, 2008.

Consultant required to undertake study on The Review and Assessment of The Earthquake Readiness Capacity of CDERA Participating States – Deadline: January 11, 2008
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency (CDERA) through funding from the Government of Austria is embarking on the crucial task of enhancing the earthquake readiness of CDERA Participating States and strengthening their capacity to manage these events. Under this project a comprehensive assessment of the earthquake readiness of the region will be conducted. CDERA invites suitably eligible consultants to indicate their interest in undertaking a Review and Assessment of the Earthquake Readiness Capacity of CDERA Participating States.
