Workshop on modeling vulnerability of biodiversity to climate change, April 21-22, Panama City
The Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) will be sponsoring a regional workshop, "Modeling of Vulnerability of Biodiversity to Climate Change," which will take place in Panama City, Republic of Panama 21 to April 22, 2008. This workshop will be conducted under the auspices of the US Agency International Development (USAID) project entitled "Implementation of Indices Climate and Weather Derivatives in Decision-Making for Change Adaptation Climate in Central America, Mexico and the Dominican Republic." This effort is being implemented jointly by CATHALAC, NASA, ESRI, Cable & Wireless Panama and the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
