GEO-Carbon Conference: Carbon in a Changing World, 24-26 October 2011,
Rome, Italy
 
The GEO-Carbon Conference: Carbon in a Changing World, is jointly
organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the
Coordination Action on Carbon Observation Systems (COCOS). The aim to
contribute to GEO through the set-up of a GEOSS for carbon.
 
International experts will present the latest scientific developments in
understanding the global carbon cycle, and an overview of the building
and implementation of a Global Carbon Observing System for land, oceans
and atmosphere. Progress and gaps in obtaining policy relevant estimates
of regional carbon budgets on land and ocean will be discussed.

The conference is open to the relevant international community and will
take place from 24 to 26 October 2011, Rome, Italy.
