Invitation Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies
 
The Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) shall host
a Psychosocial Support Webinar and expert-led, interactive discussion on
Thursday, 13 October 2011 

Child Friendly Spaces (CFSs) are frequently used as means of providing
psychosocial support in a context of emergency education and child
protection. This presentation outlines some of the main challenges that
arise in different regions and invites dialogue on how to strengthen
psychosocial practice on behalf of war- and disaster-affected children.

13th October is designated as the International Day for Disaster
Reduction which is organized each year on October 13. Its goal is to be
the most widely celebrated global day for raising awareness on disaster
risk reduction. This year (2011), for its primary activity of the Day,
UNISDR calls on children and youth of the world to "Step Up for Disaster
Risk Reduction"
