Live demonstration of emerging CGDI data access and notification service standards
GeoConnections will be hosting a Web-based teleconference on November 30, 2007 from noon until 14:30 Eastern time. The Web conference will demonstrate the recent success of the CGDI Interoperability project (CGDI IP) which included participation from provincial and federal participants in cooperation with the Open Geospatial Consortium and GeoConnections. 
The live demonstration will highlight access to a CGDI distributed network of federal, provincial and territorial data servers (14 in total) and will highlight:
access to place names, roads and municipal boundary data from a distributed network of federal, provincial & territorial servers (14 in total)
direct updates of data in provincial servers
a demonstration of an emergency response scenario
Emerging standards to be demonstrated include: Web Feature Service, Geography Markup Language and GeoRSS.
