US Department of Labor adds new geospatial job occupations
From David Dibiase of Penn State's Center for e-Education Institue: "You'll be interested to know that the US Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration's Occupational Information Network (O*NET) now lists five new geospatial occupations:
"Geospatial Information Scientists and Technologists",
"Remote Sensing Scientists and Technologists",
"Geographic Information Systems Technicians",
"Precision Agriculture Technicians", and
"Geodetic Surveyors".
You can find descriptions of most of these new occupations by doing an "Occupation Quick Search" on "geospatial" at the O*NET site, http://online.onetcenter.org/
(Geodetic Surveyors seems not to include the keyword "geospatial.")"
