[GSDI Technical] 6th vespucci summer institute (9-20 June)

Dear GSDI-tech:

 

The Vespucci Initiative is happy to annnounce a bigger+better_than_ever
summer institute for 2008, in sunny Tuscany, starting the week just after
the June OGC TC meeting (Potsdam). 

 

Week 1 (9-13 June): “Geo-sensor web”. Leaders include Dr Mike Botts and Prof
Antonio Camara (Ydreams.com)

 

Week 2 (17-20 June): “GI Science in support of Virtual Globes”. Leaders
include Dr Gilberto Camara (director Brazil space research institute), Ed
Parsons (Google) and Prof Mike Goodchild (UCSB)

 

Vespucci weeks are not for beginners, but rather for attendees bringing
previous experience and informed opinions to a group work and open debate
atmosphere.
